Speed and ease of retrieval are two of the main reasons for our customers to use electronic imaging.  Another benefit is the virtual elimination of paper, misfiling, space utilization and long-term storage.  In the imaging operation, Pegasus' associates prepare the documents for scanning (removing binding devices), scan the documents with high volume scanners, index and/or process the images to assist in retrieval, and output the images and index to CD ROM or media requested by the client, including loading onto a web site.  There are many variations and enhancements to this process that are included; it all depends on the client’s needs.

“COLD” Services

We help our clients replace inefficient and expensive report storage mediums like microfiche, paper, green bar reports and tape backups with our computer output to electronic format products.  There is no single product on the market for everyone. Each client has a unique business and that requires the customization of the product to meet his or her specific needs.  We will custom build report viewers that work the way you need them to work.  We will provide a standalone COLD product or combine it with an imaging product.  The COLD product allows our clients to search, locate and retrieve specific documents and report items then print, fax or e-mail the results.  Various levels of security can be maintained including application, report, page and/or PC location.  With our COLD products we can help our clients improve productivity and workflow, lower their operating cost and manage their documents more efficiently.

 Micrographics

The Microfilming division offers the full range of microfilming services, including 16 mm and 35 mm filming, Computer Output Microfilm (COM), Computer Assisted Retrieval (CAR), jacketing, film processing and duplication. Micrographics, although a mature technology, continues to have significant cost advantages and archival characteristics.  We have over 17 years of microfilming experience and are capable of handling the conversion of large volumes of documents within the required time tables whatever they may be.

Web Presentment

Web Presentment is an effective and cost efficient alternative for report distribution, presenting paper document management solutions and information 24 hours a day through the internet or Intranet connectivity without the problems associated with hosting and administering the computer system in -house.

Utilizing browser technology, information that typically is available on CD-ROM, COM, printed reports, etc. can easily and securely be accessible from the Internet or private Intranets while residing at our state of the art document services computer system.

Nowhere has the push been more pronounced than in the area of Medical Records Electronic Conversion and telemedicine, especially in the field of radiology. As the number of healthcare providers, especially radiologists, decline in the suburban and rural areas, the only option is remote delivery of services such as reading films, MRIs and CTs.  As liability costs increase, radiology groups are becoming larger and more centralized. There are numerous image reading services across the country willing to service outlying and rural healthcare facilities if there is a software application in place to archive and deliver the images.  PGC’s Medical Division offers these services.
